The J. Paul Getty Museum has 150,564 digitized images in its Open Content collection. These images are in the public domain and are available for download from the Getty site without permission. They can be used freely as long as the Getty is credited and the use does not imply that the Getty approves of the project. The Getty is an art museum and archive with collections in Greek, Roman, and Etruscan Art; European art from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century; and international photography. The Open Content program includes images of many different types of objects, including photographs, paintings, drawings, decorative arts, pottery, maps, coins, and armor.
